Curving around the end of the Rose Walk, you come face to face with the Long Border, the most recent area of the garden to be developed. All four of my sweet hazels were coppiced in winter 2013/2104, and so they are barely visible here …

Walking along the Long Border back to the main steps leading further down the garden, you can look to your right (over another drop!) and see the Hornbeam Gardens below. This is the area of garden to be developed this winter, although the hornbeam hedge was planted in February 2013.
