The irises (apart from the wild ones!) are not really doing well here, but I persist. We took advantage of the lawn to plant ourselves some crocuses and they are a joy in spring. Until I planted more bulbs elsewhere this winter, it was also the only place you could find daffodils in the garden.
The lawn here is big enough to entertain more than four people – yeah! – you can’t say that about many of our other garden areas close to the house!
