Increasingly the BV and I are delighted as much by the insects in our garden as we are by the flowers. I thought I’d end the week of flowers, hosted by Cathy at Words and Herbs, with some of the few close-ups that I’ve managed to capture.

Have a wonderful week – and perhaps you’d like to post just one picture on this final day? Hop on over to Words and Herbs for a big uplift!

The butterflies are so photogenic against pink, don’t you think?! I love the way you have collected all the photos together for a big collage. Such a great idea. 😃 Thank you so much for joining in the fun and sharing your flowers. 🤗
I love seeing the pollinators in my garden, one reason why I try to grow plants they like, but sadly this year I did not see many butterflies – maybe the cold spring had something to do with it.
Impressive finale–each image is lovely. Wonderful to see your butterflies.
It’s been a beautiful, flower-filled week. Thanks for sharing your lovely garden with us!
I have also fallen in love with the pollinators and keep adding food and larval host plants. Love the retrospective collage.
What an evocative collage. The furriness of the butterfly caught my eye, and of course the roses.
The peacock butterfly is wonderful – I’ve never seen one before. I also love that photo of the yellow, pink and green parrot tulip!
Lovely. I love the busy world that flowering asters seem to create, but now I am intrigued by your comment about agastache, as I’ve never really noticed butterflies on mine.
Nice post
Thank you!
